James Campbell

James Campbell was born June 12, 1881 at Dougerty and died Nov. 21, 1923, when he was run over by a Northwestern Freight train on which it is thought, he was riding to Mason City.
He has been employed at farm labor for many years.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Dougherty.

In 1905, Mr. Campbell was married to Anne Forrett, who survives him with their five sons, Lester, Manuel, Joseph, Alvin and Robert.
A sister Mrs. Thomas McMeniman, and three brothers, Patrick C. of Iowa City, John C. of Davenport and Barney of Dougherty, also survive him. His parents are deceased.

The funeral was held this morning at 10 o'clock at St. Patrick's church in Dougherty with the Rev. Father O'Reilly in charge. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery at Dougherty. The body was taken overland from Mason City Sunday afternoon.
