Anne Viola Campbell Dies at 71
Anne Viola Campbell, 71, widow of James B. Campbell, Dougherty, died Friday afternoon at a Rockwell hospital.
She lived more than 50 years in Dougherty.Mrs Campbell was born Jan. 5, 1886 in Jackson County near Dubuque, daughter of Peter and Barbara (Otley) Forrett.
She was married to James B. Campbell at Dougherty in February 1906.She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary 354, Dougherty.
Surviving are four sons, Manuel, Lester and Robert all of Dougherty, and Alvin, Mason City; a brother Ben Forrett, Clarion; three sisters, Mrs Roy (Mary) Holding, Mrs Barney (Lora) Campbell, and Mrs D. R. (Margaret) Mullan, all of Dougherty, and four grandsons, two granddaughters a great-grandson and four great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nov. 23, 1923, at Dougherty and by a son, Joseph and a brother and sister.Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dougherty. The Rev. Ronald Axen will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.Friends may call at the Colonial Funeral Home until Monday. From Monday noon they may call at the home of the son Manuel Campbell at Dougherty until the time of services.
