David A. Roderick, 52, Dies

David A. Roderick, 52, former Dougherty resident died Tuesday at his home in Elmhurst, Ill. He had been in the oil business in Dougherty most of his life.

Mr. Roderick was born Oct. 16, 1909, at Rockwell, son of Marion and Ethel (Annshutz) Roderick.

He was married to Ellen Sweeny April 3, 1932, at Dougherty.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. T. C. (Mary Margaret) Czajka, Chicago; a son, Donald, at home and three grandchildren.

Four brothers, Robert, Seattle; Dan, Manchester, N.H.; Richard, Mason City, and Lyle, Fort Dodge, and three sisters, Mrs. James Anderson, Mason City, Mrs Harold (Kathryn) Smith, Washington D.C. and Mrs Robert (Mary) Mullen, Mason City, also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, two brothers and a sister.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be in St. Patick's Cemetery at Dougherty. The Hogan-McKee Colonial Funeral Home is in charge.
