MASON CITY -- Betty A. Treanor, 65, of 1004 N. Washington Ave., died Wednesday (Dec. 1, 1999) at the Good Shepherd Health Center, 302 Second St. N.E., Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at the Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E., with Lt. Jon Augenstein officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday at Fullerton Funeral Home.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Betty Treanor Memorial Fund.

Betty was born Feb. 20, 1934, the daughter of Rufus and Nora (Wood) Martinez, in Mason City. On May 25, 1979, Betty was united in marriage to Robert Treanor in Cedar Rapids.

Betty enjoyed spending hours working in her flower gardens and taking care of her mother. She also had a passion for animals, especially dogs.

Those thankful for having shared in Betty's life include her husband, Bob, of Mason City; her mother, Nora Martinez; three stepchildren, Mike Treanor, of Mason City, Dan Treanor, of Chatsworth, , Ga., and Amy and her husband, Dan Weitzel, of Mason City; one sister, Ruby Austin, of Mason City; two brothers, Robert and John Martinez, of Mason City; one niece, Deanna Austin-Dutcher, of Huron, S.D.; and one nephew, Charles Austin, of Mason City.

Mrs. Treanor was preceded in death by her father, Rufus Martinez; and one brother, Richard Martinez.
