Kathy K Martin, 53, of Mason City, died Friday (February 16, 2018) at the Muse Norris Inpatient Unit-Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday (February 21, 2018) at the Plymouth Bible Baptist Church, 808 Broad Street, Plymouth with Pastor Paul Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 6 pm on Tuesday (February 20, 2018) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City and will continue one hour prior to service time at the church.

Kathy Kay Rheingans was born on September 15, 1964, a daughter of William and Alberta (Howe) Rheingans in Mason City. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1982 and began working as a CNA and a CMA in the Mason City area.

She married Kim Martin on June 25, 1994 in Mason City. Kathy went back to school at Iowa Lakes Community College to obtain her degree as a Registered Nurse and worked at Mercy Hospitals.

Kathy was a kind and gentle soul who would give anything she could to anyone who needed it. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, needle point, camping and singing in her spare time. Family and friends were most important in her life, she loved her grandchildren and nieces and nephews with everything she had. She was a member of the Plymouth Bible Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband, Kim Martin of Mason City; her children, William Martin, Kathy Martin, and Jenny Martin; her grandchildren, Shaedyn, Jaileigh, and Isaiah; her siblings, Roger (Nancy) Rheingans, Susan (deceased husband, John) Buehler, Jody (James) Gobeli, and James (Courtney) Rheingans; Koral Rose Nevenhoven, and her beloved dog, Bear.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alberta (Howe) Rheingans, in-laws, Paul and Fern Martin, her nephew, Michael Gobeli, and an infant child.
