Jene Harley Jacoby, age 94, went to be with his Lord on February 27, 2018.

Jene was born in Mason City, Iowa to Harley and Helen Jacoby. Jene graduated from Mason City High School and attended one year of Junior College, playing football, before entering the University of Minnesota. His college career was interrupted by the draft in World War II. He entered the army as a private and was released by the army as a second Lieutenant. He served in France and Germany and was on his way to the Far East when Peace was declared and was sent home to the US and discharged.

He resumed his education at Coe College and then transferred back to the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a business degree. He moved west to California and attended the University of Southern California taking advanced business courses and working. He was an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha at all three schools and remained a strong supporter of his fraternity throughout his life. He moved to Arizona in the early 50's and went to work for AiResearch. He started his own business, Jacoby Enterprises, Inc., several years later a business he and his wife ran together for several years.

Jene married his beloved wife, Millie, in 1956. Together they served faithfully their churches - first, Memorial Presbyterian where Jene served as a Deacon and an Elder and Valley Presbyterian where he served on the Usher Team for many years. While at Memorial he also served as Church School Superintendent along with Millie and as a Boy Scout leader and sang bass in the church choir and Men's quartet. He also helped with the Goodwill Auxiliary yearly sales at the Fair Grounds. He was a Mason.

Jene was predeceased by his parents and a brother.

He is survived by his wife, Millie.

At his request, no services are planned.
