ROCKWELL -- Dorothy Witte Hollis, 65, formerly of Rockwell, died Wednesday (May 1, 1996) at her home in Blanchard, Okla.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 1996, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 1996, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Rockwell.

The Cremation Society of Oklahoma City, Okla., is in charge of arrangements.

Since settling in Blanchard, Okla., in 1983, Dorothy and James became avid gardeners and Dorothy especially loved her flowers. In addition to her green thumb and excellent homemaking skills, Dorothy enjoyed needlepoint and various other hobbies and crafts.

The past few years, Dorothy and James enjoyed traveling in their motor home, always accompanied by their faithful dogs, Tiffany and Buttons.

She is survived by her husband, James V. Hollis of Blanchard, Okla.; mother, Mary Witte, of Rockwell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Helen Witte of Brown Deer, Wis., and Lloyd and Marianne Witte, of Greenbay, Wis.; nieces, Michelle and Cindy; nephews, Steve and Doug; aunt and uncle, Fern and Martin Dahl, numerous cousins and many loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Witte of Rockwell.
