Patricia C. Scholl, 88, of Rockwell, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 305 Elm St. E., Rockwell, with the Rev. John Gossman officiating.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Rockwell.

Visitation will be from 9-10:15 a.m. Monday at the church in Rockwell.

Family suggests memorial contributions to the Rockwell Community Nursing Home in Rockwell.

Catherine Patricia Scholl was born April 29, 1928, the daughter of Patrick and Catherine (Glackin) Dougherty in Dougherty. She married Edwin S. Scholl on Feb. 5, 1951, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City.

Patricia grew up and attended school in Dougherty, graduating from St. Patrick's High School. She ran an in-home daycare for over 30 years while raising her family.

Patricia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell. She enjoyed traveling and socializing with friends and family. One of her highlights was visiting Ireland.

Patricia is survived by a son, Dan (Grace) Scholl of Humboldt; two grandchildren, Erica (Brad Thiele) Scholl of Dakota City, IA, and Brian Scholl of Humboldt; two great-grandchildren, Trice and Greta Thiele; a daughter-in-law, Jan Scholl of State College, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two children, Rose Anne and Patrick Scholl; and two siblings, Anna Mae Hepp and James Dougherty.
