Beryl Louise Jorgensen, 84, of Lawton, formerly of Mason City, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at the Char Mac Assisted Living in Lawton.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Grace United Methodist Church, 200 14th St. N.W. with the Rev. Steve Hansen officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City. Inurnment will take place in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, rural Swaledale.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland, Sioux City, Iowa. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com.

Beryl was born Dec. 29, 1932, in rural Franklin County, the daughter of John and Julia (Murphy) Laudner. She graduated from Sheffield High School in 1951.

Beryl married Earl M. Jorgensen June 3, 1951, in Nashua, Iowa. The Jorgensen’s moved to Swaledale in 1955, then to Mason City in 1994. Beryl worked for UNISYS and later Alexanders Batteries here in Mason City. Following her husband’s death in 2012, Beryl moved to the Sioux City area in 2013. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Mason City. She enjoyed embroidery, crafts and most importantly spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her 4 daughters, Vicki (Dennis) Armatis of Beaumont, California, Kim Ouellette of Ham Lake, Minnesota; Julie (Pat) Bamrick of Lawton and Valerie Jorgensen of Polk City; 5 grandchildren, Deni Jo (Matt) Seagrave, Jason (Kristin) Armatis, Jameson (Theresa) Bamrick, Austin Bamrick and Dane Bamrick; 5 great-grandchildren, Landon and Madelyn Seagrave, Harlow and Knox Armatis and Aurora Bamrick; 1 brother, Karl (Jean) Laudner of Mason City; several nieces and nephews.

Beryl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl; 3 brothers; 4 sisters and a very special grandson, Timothy Justin Johnson.
