Edith “Edie” A. Wells, 82, of Mason City, Iowa, died Monday Aug. 1, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Monday Aug. 8, 2016, at the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa with the Rev. Kenneth Gehling officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, Iowa. The family suggests memorials to Edith A. Wells Memorial Fund.

Edie was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of James and Geneva (Anderson) O’Neill. She graduated from East High School, Des Moines, Iowa.

She worked for Look Magazine, Des Moines for seven years. Edie married Mark Wells, December of 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa.

They moved to Mason City, where she worked for Mercy Medical Center in housekeeping for over 27 years.

Edie enjoyed yard work and fishing.

She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Nicholson, Mason City, Iowa; three grandchildren Tracy Nicholson, Robert Nicholson and Jennifer (Mike) Koath, all of Mason City, Iowa; two great-granddaughters Sofia Nicholson and Maci Lynn Koath, Mason City, Iowa; her twin brother Edwin O’Neill and her sister Carol Parker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Mark; son Chris Wells; brother James O’Neill and her son-in-law Randy Nicholson.
