Marie E. Rozen, 93, of Mason City passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, Iowa. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1730 28th St., West Des Moines, IA 50266, and Good Shepherd Health Center, 302 Second St. Northeast, Mason City, IA 50401.

Marie Elizabeth Collins was born on Dec. 9, 1922, in Weskan, Kansas, to Alvin and Faye (Garretson) Collins. Marie received a degree in bookkeeping from Weskan Business College in Weskan, Kansas. After receiving her degree, she worked as a bookkeeper at the Naval Base in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Marie met the love of her life, Harry, in 1945 while working at the Naval Base. They were married on April 17, 1946.

Marie attended Epiphany Parish-Holy Family Catholic Church with her husband, in Mason City. Marie enjoyed spending time with her husband, Harry, and their family who she loved very much. She was a devoted and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Marie was gifted with many artistic talents such as crafting, ceramics, and oil painting. She enjoyed cooking, playing cribbage, and participating in bridge club.

Marie is survived by her daughter Carol (Kary) Paulson of Northwood; son James (Maureen) Rozen of Robins, IA; grandchildren: Kirk (Kelly) Paulson, Sarah (Craig) Walter, Kris (Brandi) Paulson, John Rozen, Kyle Wardlow, and Alicia Rozen; great-grandchildren: Peyton, Avery, Tyler, Hudsen, Joshua, Jacob, Skyler, and Shaelynn; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Faye; husband, Harry; brother, Marvin Collins; and sister, Pearl Crisp.
