ROCKWELL -- Janet Joyce Arndt, 59, of 303 Cherry St., died Monday (Dec. 4, 2000) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Rockwell, with the Rev. Ronald Bollinger officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Swaledale.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fullerton Funeral Home, 120 S. Third St., Rockwell.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to direct memorials to the Janet Arndt Memorial Fund.

Janet was born Oct. 23, 1941, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Greiman) Wilson, in Mason City. On Feb. 12, 1958, Janet was united in marriage to Robert Arndt in Mason City. The couple made their home in Rockwell most of their lives.

For more than 25 years Janet was employed at IMI Cornelius in Mason City.

Janet had an interest in reading, playing cards - especially 500 - playing Nintendo, golfing and traveling to Tama to gamble. She enjoyed traveling and going on special road trips with her husband.

Janet was known for her consumption of Pepsi and eating Chinese food. She could often be found watching and protecting her bird feeder. Her most precious time was spent at family gatherings, highlighted by the presence of her grandchildren.

Janet was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Rockwell.

Those thankful for having shared in Janet's life include her husband, Robert; one daughter, Julie and her husband, Keith Noyes, of Fort Irwin, Calif.; two sons, Craig and his wife, Sheryl Arndt, of Mason City, and Mike Arndt and his friend, Kim, of Rockwell; four sisters, Barb and her husband, Al Formanek, of Clear Lake, Nancy and her husband, Dennis Ward, of Rockwell, Linda Belle and her husband, Mike LaPiere, of Dallas, Texas, and Beth and her husband, Dennis Milbrandt, of Rockwell; eight grandchildren, Travis, Tyla, Dylan, Jon, Courtney, Cole, Amber, and Chris; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents, George and Dorothy Wilson; father-in-law, Velder Arndt; and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Alden.
