Michael C. Momyer, 55, of Mason City, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, with Rev. Dan Gerrietts officiating.

Memorial contributions can be directed to Chris Kirschbaum.

Mike was born Dec. 11, 1960, son of Raymond Momyer and Judith (Leonard) Vosburgh. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1979. After graduating he worked for the city of Mason City for many years.

Mike enjoyed being outside fishing, grilling, spending time with family and friends. He loved spending time with his pets and caring for lost animals.

Mike is survived by his son, Christopher Kirschbaum (Jason Wurtzel), of Urbandale; father, Ray Momyer, of Mason City; sister, Sandy (Dion) King, of Mason City; two nephews, Wesley and Taylor King; one niece, Jenni King; two aunts, Phyllis Hanna and Marilynn Sayles; one uncle, Dave Leonard; four cousins, Steve Sayles, Kathy Hanna, Kris and Lori Leonard.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Judith Vosburgh; maternal grandparents, Howard and Lela Leonard; paternal grandparents, Charles and Hazel Momyer; two cousins, Doug Hanna, and Suzanne Sayles, in addition to several aunts and uncles.
