Ruth M. Molstad, 93, of Mason City, IA, died Friday, May 13, 2016, at Good Shepherd Health Center.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Pastor Rich Murray of Opportunity Village officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2016, at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Ruth Molstad memorial fund in care of the family.

Ruth was born April 28, 1923, in rural Sheffield, IA, the daughter of Roy and Minnie (Fistler) Randall. She attended school in Osage, IA.

On November 23, 1941, Ruth married Dean M. Molstad in Mason City. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, word search, volunteering and helping others. She was a member of First Covenant Church, VFW Auxiliary and Good Shepherd Auxiliary where she was past president for 18 years.

Ruth is survived by 4 children: Ronald Molstad and wife Linda of Hastings, MN, Steven Molstad and wife Janet of Manly, IA, Bonnie Martin and husband Rick of Sioux Falls, SD, and Mary Jo Groshens and husband Ron of Owatonna, MN; grandchildren: Robert Molstad, Erick Molstad and wife Donja, Travis Willett and wife Ann, Lyndi Jo Smith and husband Jared, Kyle Martin and wife Talia, Bret Martin and wife Kat, and Lesley Jo Klecker and husband Josh; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Doris Erickson and husband Dale of Minneapolis, MN, Rosie Tobin of Mason City and Beverly Boehmer and husband Ed of Osage; 1 brother: David Randall and wife Dorothy of Osage; and sister-in-law: Jan Randall of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1995; 1 daughter: Diane Kay Molstad; 1 granddaughter: Carol Ann Molstad; 1 great grandson: Zander Nowak; 1 sister: Mildred Moore; and 3 brothers: Merle, Earl and Ransom Randall.
