Leta L. Hastings, 90, of 302 Second St. N.E., died Sunday (June 11, 1995) at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Herbert Shafer of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Leta L. Hastings Memorial Fund. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Leta L. Hastings was born Sept. 27, 1904 at Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Samuel Jones and Sena (nee) Peterson Jones. She attended schools in Cherokee.

Leta married Chester A. Coziah on Oct. 19, 1922 in Cherokee. They moved to Mason City in 1943. Mr. Coziah died in 1972. Leta married Claude H. Hastings in 1977.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Grandmother's Club, was active in Senior Citizens and helped serve congregate meals at the north site.

Survivors include a daughter, Harriet Fellom of Mason City; one daughter, Donna Baumgartner and her husband, Calvin C. Baumgartner of Garner; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two brothers; one sister and one sister, Hazel, in infancy; and one great-grandson, Steven Kramer.
