Angelina "Angie" Marlowe, 96, of Rockwell, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home.

A visitation for Angie will be held from 1 until 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery following the visitation.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests memorials be sent to the Rockwell Community Nursing Home, 707 Elm St. E., Rockwell, IA 50469.

Angie was born in Colfax, Iowa on Sept. 29, 1920, to Milos and Milka Rastovac. She grew up in Johnston, IA and graduated from Johnston High School where she was a model citizen and outstanding basketball player.

On July 22, 1943, Angie married Harold "Bud" Marlowe at the Federated Church in Johnston. For most of their lives they lived on a farm north of Cartersville. Angie was a homemaker and worked 18 years at the United Home Bank in Mason City. She was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed visiting her neighbors, and loved her family dearly. She spent her free time reading, doing crossword puzzles with her daughter, fishing and traveling.

Angie is survived by her daughter Vicki (Ronald) Wagner of Rockwell; her grandchildren, Adam Wagner of Ames and Cara (Timothy) Splinter of St. Paul, MN; and two sisters, Dorothy Oakman and Mary Jane Van Maren.

She was preceded in death by Harold “Bud” Marlowe, her son Jeffrey Marlowe, and her parents, Milos and Milka Rastovac.

Angie's family wishes to thank all of the staff and caregivers at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home for their loving care.
