MASON CITY -- Phyllis (Keeney) Endriss, 73, of Mason City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Hospice of North Iowa.

Phyllis was born on Sept. 21, 1941, the daughter of Glenn and Pearl (Coonrod) Keeney. Phyllis attended Lime Creek No. 7 Country School, worked as a bartender at Nick and Mary's and also as a janitor at Holcim Cement.

She enjoyed working in her yard, baking for others, watching cooking shows and visiting with her neighbors. Phyllis's greatest joys were her two grandchildren, Cory and Samantha, and her two great-grandchildren, Valerie Jane and Kellen William.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter Brenda (Ken) Winkowitsch of Mason City; grandson, Cory (Jamie) Endriss of Mason City; granddaughter, Samantha (Trey) Winkowitsch of Mason City; four sisters, Beverly (Jack) Krause of Nora Springs; Joyce (Don) Fisher of Belvidere; Karen Bendickson of Nashua and Sharon Keeney of Clear Lake; three brothers, Glenn (Lois) Keeney of Mesa, Arizona, Ron (Joyce) Keeney Belvidere; Gerald (Sue) Keeney of Belvidere.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harold and Jerry Keeney and one nephew Doug Fisher and one niece Erica Keeney.
