Pamela J Hays, 65 of Mason City, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at her home.

A funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, with Rev. Kenneth Gehling officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorial contributions to the Pamela Hays Memorial Fund.

Pam was born February 16, 1950, the daughter of James and Pauline (Willis) Kavars in Mason City. She was united in marriage to Steve Hays on July 23, 1971, in Sioux Falls, SD. To this union four children were born.

A graduate of Mason City High School, Pam attended junior college. She worked various jobs after college, before working at the Landfill of North Iowa for the past 28 years.

Pam enjoyed gambling, shopping, and taking camping trips to Red Wing, MN and Gooseberry Falls State Park in Minnesota. She always took care of her flowers and plants, while making sure all the birds were fed. She loved spending time with her family, especially grandchildren, and taking care of all her pets and animals. Pam also enjoyed cooking for the matches at the River City Rifle and Pistol Club.

Pam is survived by her husband, Steve of Mason City; four children, Cannon David (Amy) Hays of Mason City, Stephanie Anne Hays of Mason City, Christopher James (Kelley) Hays of Mason City, and Amy Marie (Sam) Reindl of Sneads Ferry, NC; twelve grandchildren, Gunnar and Griffin Hays, Tim (Megan) Francis, Britney Zeller, Hayley Zeller, Jennah Bahl, Gavin Bahl, Braden Bahl, Mariah Hays, Carter Hays, Stevie Reindl, and Jamison Reindl; a great granddaughter, Gracie Mae Francis; siblings, Patty (Dave) Gilbert of Mason City and Jim Kavars of Clear Lake; a special friend, Debra (Reinhold) Speckmeier of Mason City; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and parents-in-law.
