David Ray Stange, 33, Clear Lake, died Monday, September 23, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City, from complication from a brain injury.

A funeral service for David will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 27, 2013, at the Church of Christ Latter-Day Saints, 1309 South Kentucky Ave, Mason City, with Bishop Kevin Runolphson officiating.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Hwy 18 West, Mason City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Friday at the church.
Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126-3rd Street NE, Mason City, is in charge of the arrangements.

David Ray Stange was born on November 7, 1979, in Columbia, Missouri, and was adopted by Larry and Kozette (Elbert) Stange at the age of 8 years old.

David graduated from Mason City High School, and worked at Opportunity Village workshop, and the Kinney Lindstrom Center where he worked in packaging, and paper shredding.

David enjoyed eating out, music, going to the Iowa Cubs baseball games, watching football games with his friends and staff at the Opportunity Village in Clear Lake.

David was always happy and warm and was able to make friends easily, and in high school, his nick name was Bopper.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Larry and Kozette Stange of Mason City; his siblings, Samuel (Tina) Stange of Mason City, Odessa (Michael) Pham of Mason City, Sophia (Venus) Limcharoen of Rochester, NY, and Abebi X. Stange of Opportunity Village in Clear Lake; his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Christina, Lily, Vincent, Vivian, Sebastian, Sariah, and Quentin; as well as other extended family members and friends.

David was preceded in death by his sister, Daisy; and his grandparents, Richard and Hope Elbert; and great-grandparents, Andrew and Agnes “Lou” Meyer.
