Larry R. Armfield, 69, of Britt, Iowa died Saturday Sept. 28, 2013 at the Westview Care Center, Britt, Iowa.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday Oct. 17, 2013 at the Zion Reformed Cemetery, rural Sheffield, Iowa with Rev. Arthur Zewert officiating.

Larry was born June 25, 1944 in Hampton, Iowa the son of Russell and Tina (Van Horn) Armfield.

He grew up in the Sheffield Chapin area and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1963.

He owned and operated his own barber shop in Thornton and later worked as a barber in Mason City, Ames and in Garner.
He enjoyed traveling and watching sports on TV.

He is survived by his brother Roger Armfield, Edna, Texas and two nephews Dean and Daniel Armfield; one great nephew Brett Armfield and several cousins.
