Saturday, November 19, 2016PHOENIX, Arizona —Trevor R. Brinson, Sr., 47, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Mason City, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Verde Valley Medical Center, Cottonwood, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 440 N. Illinois Ave., Mason City, with pastors Scott Davis, Nathan Gann, and Ken Quintus officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, and one hour prior to services at the church, Monday.
Trevor Ray Brinson was born March 6, 1969, in Bronx, NY, a son of Charles P. Little, Sr. and Jewel L. Brinson.
He was a 1987 graduate of Mason City High School, and received an A.A. degree from NIACC.
He married Lisa Ewers on Feb. 14, 1993.
Trevor was a devoted father who cherished the time he spent with his family, especially attending their many sporting events and activities. A devoted Christian, Trevor was active in his church, and men’s group. He served as a volunteer coach, teaching fundamentals and drive to countless young people. His daily regimen consisted of scripture, phone calls to his family, health and nutrition and appreciating the outdoors.
He brought joy to any occasion with his infectious smile, booming laugh and uplifting energy.
Most recently, he was working doing what he loved, driving a semi while touring the country.
Trevor is survived by his mother, Jewel Brinson, Canton, OH; children, Trevor Brinson, Jr., Tevin Brinson, Taryn Brinson, all Mason City; maternal grandmother, Pearl Hill, Bronx, NY; brothers, Kevin Valentine, Ankeny, Charles (Deanna) Little, Jr., Concord, NC, John D. Little, Sr., Bronx, NY, Ronald (Kimberly) Little, Gaithersburg, MD, Levi Little, Bronx, NY; sisters, Brenda Little, Bronx, NY, Crystal Little, Bronx, NY, Sheriff Little, Tulsa, OK; many nieces and nephews including, Lennice Valentine, Chandler Diercks, Kyren-Ray Valentine, Kein Valentine, Isaiah Perkins, Brandon Bakkum, Kinnick Valentine, and many other family members.
Trevor was preceded in death by his father, Charles P. (Wilma) Little, Sr.; maternal grandparents, John and Ruby (Springer) Brinson, Sr.; maternal grandfather, John Hill; sister-in-law, Tamiqueca Little; nephew, Sha-quan A. Little; cousins, Irene Smith, Khieeda Brinson, and Leslie Brinson.
