Ann Norlene Baago, 69, of Clear Lake, Iowa died Thursday February 11, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her children, her husband Harry, and her beloved kitties.

Celebration of Life service and burial will be held at a later time to be announced.

Ann was born November 29, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Norwin Vero and Arleene Anna (Lamp) Martens. She was raised on a farm near Tipton and graduated from Tipton High School, Tipton, Iowa in 1965. She married Neal Dauber in Bennett, Iowa and to this union two children were born, Tobiason and Tami.

In 1976, she was divorced and moved to Colorado and worked as an office manager of an employment agency for several years. In 1981, she moved to Clear Lake and married Harry Popejoy Baago in 1992.

Ann was a professional seamstress for many years, and proudly mastered many creative hobbies including knitting, crocheting, painting, and gardening. She became a master gardener through Iowa State University and managed the Clear Lake Farmer’s Market for several years. Ann enjoyed decorating, caring for her beloved pet chickens and cats, and spent many years sharing her hobbies with Harry, including their E-bay business and auction hopping, where they developed many lasting friendships.

Harry and Ann also enjoyed many years with the car club and being in the parades with Harry’s 1932 Chevy, traveling to Las Vegas together, or they could be found maintaining their roadside vegetable stand, their massive home garden, or sitting side by side in their matching red recliners.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, and leaves behind her husband Harry Popejoy Baago, Clear Lake, Iowa; her son, Tobiason Shawn Dauber, of Englewood, Colorado; her daughter and son-in-law, Tami LaDawn Nomack and Michael Nomack of Prospect, Connecticut; her grandsons David and Daniel Nomack of Prospect, Connecticut; her brother, Larry Martens, of Tipton Iowa; her beloved niece, Lorna Morgan and her husband Randy of Tiffin, Iowa; her great nephew, Maclane Morgan of Tiffin, Iowa; her dearest neighbors Vance, Kim, Maddie and Sean Wendel; as well as her step family, and many close friends, doctors, nurses and staff members that she adored who cared for her over the last several years.
