Obituary for Trese M. Lovik
CLEAR LAKE – Trese M. Lovik, 66, of Clear Lake died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at her home after a short battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 22nd at Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake with Rev. Dr. Hall officiating. Burial will be at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery near Frost, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Cataldo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Trese Melissa Lovik, the daughter of Thelmer and Ruth (Okerlund) Nodland was born September 19, 1950 in Albert Lea, MN. She spent her childhood on a farm near Woden, graduating from Woden-Crystal Lake High School. Trese obtained an elementary education degree with a minor in music from Upper Iowa University in Fayette. She enjoyed over 30 years as church organist for many North Central Iowa churches, retiring from the organ bench at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner. Trese also retired from Winnebago Industries with 28 years of service in the human resource department.
Trese is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Alan) Kuefler of Marion, Iowa; five grandchildren, Anna, John Paul, Anthony, Joseph and Andrew Kuefler; two sisters, Ruth Tjode Mickelson of Woden and Troyce (Josef) Vich of Waterloo; two nieces; a nephew; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
