MASON CITY - Randy Carl Frank, 49, of Mason City died Monday (June 1, 2009) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 5, at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Jon Seda of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday, June 4, at Major Erickson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the Randy Frank Memorial Fund in care of the family.

Randy was born Jan. 5, 1960, in Mason City, the son of Robert and Beverly Frank. He attended Mason City schools. He was married to Debbie Kay Tobey in 1989.

He was disabled after two life threatening illnesses. He loved to tinker with machines, cars, lawn mowers, or anything with a motor. He also enjoyed hard rock music, and playing his guitar. He loved watching game shows on T.V. and was an enthusiastic Harley-Davidson fan.

Family was important to Randy, especially his sons, and he enjoyed spending time with all of them. He also was a wonderful care giver for his father for many years.

Randy is survived by his sons, Brandon Frank, Sean Frank and Christopher Servantez; granddaughter, Aubrey; father, Robert Frank; sisters, Diana Holahan and husband, Patrick, of Mason City, and Shirley Trevett and husband, Brian, of Rockford; brothers, Michael Frank and wife, Marilyn, of Warner Robbins, Ga., David Frank and wife, Theresa, of Mason City, and Marty Frank and wife, Jennifer, of Mason City; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie in 2003; mother, Beverly; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
