DIED --- At the residence of her son-in-law, M.J. Curtis, near this city, on the 30th, Mrs. Ellen Florence, in the 78th year of her age.

The deceased was the mother of the Florence boys, and Mrs. Curtis, of this city, and had resided in the town for over a quarter of a century -- coming here with her husband and family in the fall of 1856. She has been a member of the Congregational church of this city, nearly ever since its organization, was well known and respected in the community. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Moulton at Cong'l church, on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 1st.

[Interment was made at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.]
