THORNTON — Doris Dirks, 72, of Mason City, formerly of Thornton, died Sunday (Jan. 17, 2010) at the Heritage Care Center in Mason City.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at the Retz Funeral Home, Thornton.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until time of services on Friday.

Doris had expressed that her memory could best by honored by a memorial to Hospice of North Iowa in place of flowers for her services.

[Interment was made at Meservy Cemetery, Franklin County, Iowa.]
