MASON CITY -- Evelyn G. Colloton, 82, of 309 S. Tennessee Ave., died Saturday (March 2, 1996) at home.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., with the Rev. John R. Kremer officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 5 p.m. today at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., with a Scriptural service beginning at 7 p.m.

Evelyn G. Colloton was born Sept. 7, 1913, near Plymouth, the daughter of Herman R. and Rosalie (Dedina) Callow. She married Walter "Ted" Colloton on Feb. 14, 1939, in Mason City.

Evelyn grew up on a farm near Plymouth and graduated from Mason City High School. She worked at the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse, Decker Brother's Sports, and for many years at Western Grocery until retiring.

She enjoyed traveling, crocheting and playing with her dog. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Survivors include four nephews, Richard Callow and his wife, Carol, Nora Springs; Raymond Callow and his wife, Gloria, Mason City; Ron Callow and his wife, Sheila, Mason City, and Morgan McEnaney and his wife, DeeAnn, Fairfax Station, Va.; one niece, Dorothy Laubenthal and her husband, Robert, Council Bluffs; one sister-in-law, Pearl May, Mason City; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and three great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one nephew.
