IOLA, Kan. -- Deloris A. Burgess, 79, of Iola, Kansas, formerly of Mason City, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, with Pastor Steve Hansen, officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

The family will greet friends during a public viewing from 9:30 a.m. until time of services, Saturday at the funeral chapel.

Deloris Ann Burgess was born Dec. 19, 1935, at Mason City, a daughter of Earl Francis and Leona Irene (Kinney) Fewins. She was united in marriage to Jack L. Burgess in Mason City.

Deloris received nurses training and worked in several nursing homes during her career, including several years in Keosauqua, Iowa.

She enjoyed traveling and genealogy.

She is survived by a sister, Linda Bell, Tuscumbia, Missouri; brothers, LeRoy (Grace) Kinney, Louisburg, Kansas, Wayne (Lisa) Brown, Louisburg; step-sisters, Marcella Mann, Tonganoxie, Kansas, Luella Furh, Harrisonville, Missouri; step-brother, Gerald Brown, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Deloris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Margaret Eubanks; brother, Paul Brown; step-brothers, Kenneth and Eugene Brown.
