Donna J. Bunday, 83, of 302 2nd St. N.E., Mason City, Iowa died Sunday July 26, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Health Center, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday July 29, 2009 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mason City, Iowa with Rev. Sid Bohls officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel and then one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church.

The Family suggests memorials to Donna J. Bunday memorial fund.

Donna was born Oct. 15, 1925 in Claremont, MN. the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Endvick) Francis.

Donna graduated from Britt High School in 1943. She married Ralph Bunday Jan. 5, 1944 in Britt, Iowa. While her husband was in the service during WWII, she lived with her parents. Following his discharge, they moved to Mason City.

She worked at the Green Mill and Buehlers Restaurant. She later worked for Marshall & Swift and One Hour Cleaners.

Donna enjoyed going to dances at the Surf Ballroom, listening to music, spending time at their cabin on Cannon Lake, where she was an avid fisher. She also enjoyed word search puzzles, crafts & visiting. During her stay at Good Shepherd, she brought a lot of humor and joy to those surrounding her. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her family.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mason City.

Donna is survived by her five children: Patricia (Andy) Bottone, Mason City, IA., Linda (David) Clark, Mason City, IA., Barb Abrahams, Mason City, IA., Debra (Mark) Christiansen, Mason City, IA. And Steven Bunday, Battle Lake, MN.; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three brothers Norman (Kathy) Francis, Owatonna, MN., Dean (Patricia) Francis, Owatonna, MN. and Kenneth (Carol) Francis, Grant Pass, Oregon and one sister Barbara Warhurst, Eldridge, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother-in-law Elmer Warhurst and sister-in-law Colleen Francis.
