MASON CITY - Ethel B. Bull, 90, of 615 N. Monroe Ave., died Saturday (April 13, 2002) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church, 1301 N. Carolina Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Clifford Close officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City and again one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Ethel Bull Memorial Fund.

Ethel was born July 14, 1911, in rural Rockwell, the daughter of Fred T. and Nellie (McFarlin) Allen. She attended school in Rockwell and would later attend Hamilton Business College. Ethel married Forrest E. Bull on December 24, 1929, at the First Baptist Church parsonage here in Mason City.

Ethel was very active with her family, friends and church, teaching Sunday School for many years. She loved to make quilts and rugs for her grandchildren and the missions. Her children and others will always remember her for her faithfulness in prayers, support and gentle care. She will be sadly missed by her husband Forrest. They shared more than 72 years together.

Ethel is survived by her husband; Forrest E. Bull of Mason City; daughter, Thayas Wilson and husband, James, of Mason City; son, Jack Bull and wife, Jaunice, of Mason City, son, Willis Bull and wife, Patricia, of Mason City; daughter, LaVonne Westendorf and husband, Charles, of Mason City; son, Lawrence Bull and wife, Gearaldine, of Springfield, Mo.; daughter, Peggy Lipka and husband, Peter, of Bellevue, Wash.; son, Ronald Bull and wife, Karen, of Mason City, son, Duane Bull and wife, Kristi, of Poland, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; sister, Vivian Weaver, of Mason City; niece, Carol Miller, of Mason City; nephew, Allen Stevens, of Mason City.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; son, Guy; daughters, Mary and Doris; two sisters; two great-grandsons, Jessie and Cody.
