Mason City - Paula Ann “Pat” Buland, 72, of 627 S. Massachusetts, died Friday (October 29, 2004) at St. Thomas Moore Hospital, Canon City, Colorado.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday (November 6, 2004) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel 126 Third Street NE, Mason City, with Reverend Bill Poland of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until time of service on Saturday (November 6, 2004) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City.

Memorials may be directed to the Paula Buland Memorial Fund.

Paula was born on October 8, 1932 in Thompson, Iowa, a daughter of James and Grace (White) Myhr. She married Robert Buland, who resides in Canon City. Paula and Robert resided in Mason City, Iowa from 1950 to 1992. In 1992 they began traveling the United States as full time R.V.ers. Paula loved visiting family and friends and also loved NASCAR racing.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Buland of Canon City; her three sons, Michael (Patty) Buland of Rockvale, CO, Chuck (Deb) Buland of Mason City, and John Larson of Mankato, MN; two daughters, Vicki (Richard) Herman of Centerville, IA and Marci Shaw of Arvada, CO; one sister, June Nelson of Tucson, AZ; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Margaret Larson; and an infant brother.
