Small Boy, Victim of Scarlet Fever, Buried

MASON CITY - Robert Albert Buchanan, 3, son of Mrs. Doris Buchanan, was buried in Memorial Park cemetery Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. Oliver L.N. Wigdahl, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church, offering a prayer at the grave.

Robert Albert, who died Tuesday from scarlet fever, is survived by his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Dora Buchanan of Belmond and his maternal grandmother and grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Dearmin, Mason City.

NOTE: Robert was the son of Charles Wesley Buchanan and Doris Audrey (Dearmin) Buchanan Pixley. Robert's father preceded him in death on June 21, 1929. His mother Doris died February 27, 2003 in Temple City, California. She was cremated and her ashes scattered at sea.
