August 26, 2015BELVIDERE, Ill. -- Thelma S. Boozell, 101, of Belvidere, IL, and formerly of Mason City, IA, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at the Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Kevin Jones officiating.
Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City.

Thelma was born Aug. 9, 1914, in Williams, IA, the daughter of Lars O. and Dora B. (Torkilson) Warwick. She attended school in Williams.
On April 29, 1935, Thelma married Gerald R. Boozell in Galena, IL. The couple moved to Freeport, IL, in 1937 and later Mason City in 1941.
Thelma was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in Elizabeth Circle.
Thelma is survived by her son: Eldon D. Boozell and wife Barbara of Belvidere; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2000, four brothers and one sister.
