MASON CITY - Evelyn Blunt, 16251 245th St., died on Wednesday (May 9, 2001) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City, with the Rev. Kenneth Hatland officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Mason City, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Evelyn S. Blunt Memorial Fund.

Evelyn was born Aug. 13, 1911 in Paint Creek Township Allamakee County, the daughter of Fredrik and Mable (Gunderson) Mortenson.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Glen Blunt, of Mason City; daughters, Connie Nelson and her husband, Darrell, of Bloomington, Minn., and Deanna Roen and her husband, Kenneth, of Prescott, Wis.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Hjordis Schipper and her husband, Harold, of Mason City; and several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Clarence and Maurice.
