Anne Norton, 82, of 129 S. Jackson Ave., Mason City, died Tuesday (Jan. 30, 1996) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Major Erickson Funeral, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Raymond A. Burkle of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home and until time of services on Friday.

Anne Norton was born Jan. 27, 1914, the daughter of Antonio and Marietta (Fusaro) Martin in Mason City.

Ann graduated from Mason City High School in 1932.

She worked part time as a secretary at Fred Hunchis' attorney's office. Anne then worked as a secretary for the Ben Nelson Garage.

Anne married Richard H. Norton on July 24, 1942, in Mason City.

Anne went to work for the Mason City Motor Coach Company and then became a partner in City Transit for a couple of years.

Anne then started her own ceramic shop "Anne's Ceramic & Supplies" that she has operated for several years.

She is survived by her husband, Richard H. Norton of Mason City; one sister, Sister Marie JoAnn, at the St. Benedictine Convent in Clyde, Mo.; one brother, William Martin of Chula Vista, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
