Funeral Rites for Andrew Miller Held; Burial at Rockwell

ROCKWELL - Funeral services for Andrew S. Miller, Sr., who died Tuesday [October 27, 1936] at his home here, were held Thursday, with the Rev. Father Kirk conducting the rites. Burial was at Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mr. Miller was born April 12, 1886, at Roanoke, Ill. He was married to Mary Ann Loesche (sic, should be Lasche) of Petersburg. Nine children were born to this union, eight of whom survive. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by one son, Robert, 16 years ago.

Surviving Mr. Miller are Mrs. Louis M. Nagle, Carroll; Mrs. Leo [Cordelia Olive] Duggan, Rockwell; Arnold L. Miller, Jr., Rockwell City; Lawrence L. Miller, Rockwell; Arnold L. Miller, Waterloo; Mrs. Michael Bauman, Whittemore; and Loretta and Walter at home.

Pallbearers were Fred Hoots, Henry Oetkin, Micheal Muprhy, John Clark, Dan Cahalan, and John Ewy.

Attending the rites were Mr. and Mrs. William A. Miller, Carroll; Joe Miller and son, John, Clear Lake; Sister M. Paschaline, Pocahontas; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Loesche and son, Andy, Petersburg; Ben Loesche, Oyens; Miss Lena Loesche, Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. John Schrier, Remsen; Mr. and Mrs. William Staab, Remsen; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Ries, Varnia; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller, Pocahontas; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bauman and son, John, Jake Bauman, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Elbert and Mr. and Mrs. J.V. Elbert, all of Whittemore.
