Obituary ~ Julia Frances (Halloran) Layden McCauley
November 11, 1865 ~ October 16, 1948

Requiem Mass was celebrated for Mrs. Julia Frances McCauley, 83, at the Sacred Heart church at Rockwell, Tuesday, with Father Francis Churchill, pastor of St. Lawrence Catholic church at Swaledale, celebrant. Father P. F. Malone of St. Joseph's Catholic church, Mason City and Father Raymond Bohrer of Sacred Heart Catholic church, Rockwell, were in the Sanctuary. Altar boys were Robert Cassidy, Edward Cahill, Richard Fitzgerald and Daniel Dugan.

Attending the services from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fahey and son, Joe, Mrs. Catherine Lynch, Miss Margaret McGough, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kenninger, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Esser, Mrs. Frank Kuchehkaffer, Miss Cora Greslin and Mrs. Clara Diener, all of Ackley. Mr. and Mrs. William Peck of Montana, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Mulligan, Truman, Minn., Robert Finnegan, Des Moines, Mrs. W. H. McDermott, Sioux City, A. E. Raw, Waterloo, Mrs. E. C. Weaver, Glenville, Minn. and C. J. McCauley, Chicago.

Pallbearers were Emil Siefken, John McLaughlin, John Tracy, Edward Moroney, Elmer Gikon and James Dorsey.

Burial was at the Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery at Rockwell. The Patterson-James funeral home in charge.
