Adam Joseph Hanig, 11, son of Frank and Janet Hanig of 7042 Second St., Rockwell, died Friday (Aug. 18, 1995) following a vehicle accident.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Rockwell.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 tonight at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell, where a scriptural wake service will be held at 7 tonight, followed by a K of C rosary. Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, is handling arrangements.

Adam was born May 20, 1984 at Mason City, a son of Frank Hanig and Janet Hanig (nee) Weiner. He was baptized at St. John's Catholic Church in Cartersville.

He attended Newman Catholic School, Mason City, where he would have entered the fifth grade. He participated in wrestling, baseball and youth rodeo.

Adam especially enjoyed his brothers and their friends, and helping his family with their construction business. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell; and the Cartersville Wildcats 4-H Club, Cartersville.

Adam is survived by his parents, Frank and Janet Hanig, Cartersville; two brothers, Ryan Hanig and Nick Hanig, Cartersville; maternal grandparents, Frank and Ann Weiner, Nora Springs; paternal grandmother, Barbara Hanig Graves, Dougherty; maternal great-grandparents, Kathryn Weiner, Rockwell; and Francis and Aileen Cooling, Mason City; paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Tenney, Mason City; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Hanig and Donald Graves; and great-grandfather, Frank (Sr.) Weiner.
