V. MCKIBBEN DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

CLEAR LAKE – Virgil Kimball McKibben, 54, 824 3rd SW, Mason City, died early Friday at his home after being in failing health for some time.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Wilcox Funeral Home.

Virgil Kimball McKibben was born March 19, 1912, in Clear Lake, the son of Will and Ava (Kimball) McKibben. He farmed in the Clear Lake area most of his life.

He served in the U.S. Navy from April 1944 until January 1946. He was married to Margaret Overbeck Oct. 12, 1947.

He is survived by his father, Oakwood Manor; one son, Gary Daytona Beach, Fla.; and one sister, Mrs. Harry (Thelma) Cash, Laurens. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1964.
