V. M. WALLIS DIES; RITES INCOMPLETE

CLEAR LAKE – Val M. Wallis, 86, died Wednesday evening in a Mason City hospital after a short illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Wilcox Funeral Home.

V. M. Wallis was born Feb. 14, 1879, in Illinois. He was married to Adelaide Rice Dec. 9, 1906, who preceded him in death in 1955.

They farmed until 1927, when they moved to town. He was then in the insurance business. He was a member of the IOOF and Rebekah Lodges.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Henry Kimmel, Mason City, and Geneva Biggs, Walnut Creek, Calif.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Transcriber's Note - Valentine Wallis was born February 14, 1979, died September 29, 1965 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section A Row 12.
