JERRY JOE BEEK RITES HELD SUNDAY

Funeral services for Jerry Joe Beek, five weeks old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Beek, who died at a Mason City hospital, Friday, were held at Ward’s funeral home Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Warner M. Hubbard, pastor of the Methodist church, conducting the service. Burial was in the Clear Lake cemetery.

Mrs. R. C. Taylor with Mrs. Harry Mason accompanying, sang “Precious Jewels.”

Relatives from out of town who attended the services were the baby’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Beek and uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John VanHeston of Klemme.

The twin brother of Jerry Joe, Jackie, Jr., was taken to a Mason City hospital Sunday for treatment.

Jerry Joe is survived by his parents, his twin brother, two other brothers, Gerald, 8, and Bobby , 3, and sister, Edna Mae, 16 months, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Beek, Klemme, and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hayes.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Allen, May 17, 1938, and a sister, Betty Elaine, January 8, 1940.
