Margaret was born in Northern Ireland February 17, 1925 to James and Bessie McDonald. In 1946 she and her daughter came to the United States by ship, often called bride ships. After arriving in New York, they made their way to Mason City.
Margaret was united in marriage to Louis Bartusek in 1950. She was a loving mother and devoted her time to be a stay at home mom. Margaret was a very determined individual. No matter what life threw at her, she accepted it, and moved on. Her top priority in life was to take care of her family. If they needed anything, she was always there.
Margaret enjoyed working on latch hook, crocheting, gardening and taking family vacations. One of her proudest accomplishments was to be awarded her United States citizenship on April 14, 1971. While at Good shepherded she enjoyed making new friends, "Jan's" BINGO, singing in the choir and attending social hour.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children Nancy (Paul) Bailey, Mason City; Robert (Larece) Bartusek, Mason City; Ron (Diane) Bartusek, Mason City; Donna Henaman, Mason City; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as many other nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband Louis Bartusek; two sons Louis "Jim" and Tony Bartusek; and many other loved and cherished family members.
