Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, IowaGeanne Anne Anderson, 54, of 210 East Lake Street, Ventura, Iowa, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, at her home. Memorial Mass was held Saturday, Dec. 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Harry H. Koelker officiating. Inurnment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa.
Geanne Anne Redington was born Sept. 9, 1952, in Mason City, the daughter of George and Gretchen (Westby) Redington. Geanne graduated from Newman Catholic High School in 1970. She worked for Finger Hut Corporation, Mason City; where she met Roger Anderson. Geanne was united in marriage to Roger on Sept. 1, 1976, in Nashua, Iowa at the Little Brown Church. Geanne worked for Fast Food Merchandisers and Remax Real Estate in Mason City and Clear Lake. Geanne and Roger moved to Manchester, Iowa in 1989, where she was the manager broker for First State Real Estate; until her retirement in 2000. In 2001 they moved back to Clear Lake and Ventura area.
Geanne loved spending time with her family and friends; especially her grandchildren. She would take them to the Humane Society to visit the animals. She loved animals, entertaining, boating, sewing, and she had the touch for interior decorating. Geanne loved traveling. The highlight of her life was a trip to London, where Geanne and Roger celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Geanne is survived by her husband, Roger Anderson, Ventura; children, Jon (Jodie) Anderson, Mason City, Chadley (Lydia) Anderson, Appleton, Wis.; grandchildren, Kyle, Kaylee, Livvi, and Dane Anderson, and one soon expected granddaughter, Nolie; siblings, Gaylee (Gerald) Toppin, Lorimor, Greg (Gaby) Redington, Chantilly, Va.; sister in law, Lassara Redington, Omaha, Neb.; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Geanne is preceded in death by her parents, George and Gretchen; brother, Garrett Redington; and nephew, James Redington.
