MRS. CECIL W. SHOOP

Mrs. Cecil W. (Marie) Shoop, 65, of 14 South 19th St., Clear Lake died Tuesday afternoon, November 8, enroute to a Rochester Hospital.

Mrs. Shoop had been in ill health for the past several years.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 12 at the Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Carlson, United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Marie Christine Christofferson was born October 14, 1912 at Buffalo Center the daughter of Chris and Karen Christofferson.

She graduated from Crystal Lake High School and came to Clear Lake to work. She married Cecil W. Shoop on September 23, 1939 at Mason City and they lived in Clear Lake where Mr. Shoop was a heavy equipment operator.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974.

Surviving her are three sons, William, Clear Lake, James, Dawson, Mn., and John Shoop, Mason City, nine grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Augusta) Mumey, Anchor Point, Alaska and Mrs. Leo (Gladys) Ritter, Charles City.

Mrs. A. E. Folkman was the organist and Mrs. Donald Kacer was soloist.

Pallbearers were, Jim Harlan, Greg Held, Harold Johnson, Elmer Reicherts, Gus Heinrich and Lloyd Johnson. Arrangements by Richard Van Slyke, Clear Lake, Ia.
