Death Notices

MOSHIER, Oliver P., 88, retired laborer formerly of 902 Elm Drive, died Friday in a Mason City hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the McAuley-Scanlan Funeral Chapel. Dr. George Truman Carl, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

O. Moshier Service Set for Monday

Funeral services for Oliver P. Moshier, 88, retired laborer who died Friday in a Mason City hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the McAuley-Scanlan Funeral Chapel. Dr. George Truman Carl, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate.

Mr. Moshier was born Aug. 6, 1869, at Lyle, Minn., son of Dilazon and Elizabeth (Milliken) Moshier. As a child he moved to Minneapolis and to other Minnesota residences.

He was married to Ida Barr, Feb. 28, 1911, at Austin, Minn. They made their first home at Austin and moved to Mason City in 1913. He had lived here since that time, and was a watchman many years in various buildings in the city.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Moberg, Cloverdale, Ore.; and three stepdaughters, Mrs. John Burns, Mason City; Mrs. Delos Webster, Toledo, Ohio; and Mrs. Claude Radeck, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his wife, March 9, 1946, and by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at the chapel from 2 p.m. Sunday until the time of services. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
