Funeral services for George E. R. Slack, 65, retired employe (sic) of the Northern Lumber Co., who died Tuesday, were held Thursday afternon at the Patterson-James chapel. The Rev. John Walker, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, officiated.
Mrs. Earl Ehlers was organist. Pallbearers were Otto Lemann, William Patrick, Victor Mullaney, Raymond Keeepr, Paul Grange and Harm Bohlen. Military rites were conducted at Elmwood Cemetery by the Mason City Veterans Memorial Assn. Ivan Barnes served as commander.
[George served as a Corporal in 318th Field Signal BN, World war I.]
