Charles F. McMann Dies at IOOF Home; Rites Incomplete

Charles F. McMann, 89, died Wednesday evening at the IOOF Home following an illness. He had lived at the home since Nov. 1, 1948, having come from Des Moines.

Mr. McMann was born Aug. 28, 1866, at Haddonfield, N. J., son of John and Mary (Anderson) McMann. Throughout his life he was a general storekeeper until April 1, 1947.

He joined the IOOF Lodge in 1989 at Tecumseh, Neb. In 1903 he became affiliated with the IOOF and Rebekah Lodge 103 at Corydon. He had been a member in good standing in that lodge more than 50 years.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The McAuley and Son Funeral Home is in charge.

Charles F. McMann Service Conducted

Funeral services for Charles F. McMann, 89, who died Wednesday, were held Saturday afternoon at the IOOF Home. The Rev. Clair W. Hicks, chaplain at the home, officiated.

Bertha Waterman provided music. The IOOF rites were conducted by the burial staff of IOOF Lodge 224 of Mason City, under the leadership of Leo George and Gilbert Randall.

Pallbearers were David Dunn, Leo George, Oscar H. Pederson, Gilbert Randall, Ben Scroggs and Paul Carse. Burial was at the IOOF Memorial Cemetery at the home. The McAuley and Son Funeral Home was in charge.
