Stephen Krais, 80, dies at IOOF Home

Stephen Krais, 80, a resident of the I.O.O.F. Home here since April 1952, died early Saturday at the home after a long illness. He was a retired carpenter and mason.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m.Tuesday in the I.O.O.F. Home chapel with the Rev. Tom Norris officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Mr. Krais was born Dec. 20, 1879, at Blakesburg and had been a member of Benedict Lodge 584, Blakesburg, since 1912.

Stephen Krais service held

Funeral services for Stephen Krais, 80, who died Saturday at the IOOF Home, were held Tuesday at the IOOF Chapel. The Rev. Tom Norris officiated.

Jene Hendrickson and Robert Gobeli sang a duet. Berthina Waterman was pianist. IOOF services were conducted by D. L. Dillon, noble grand, and Howard Delahoyde, chaplain.

Pallbearers were Wayne Johnson, Norlan Ritter, Ray Helmick, Joe Huber, William Easley and Ralph Sperry. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery. The Major-Erickson Funeral Home was in charge.
