Mrs. Smith Service Set for Tuesday

Mrs. LeRoy (Bess) Smith, 57, died Sunday at a Mason City hospital. She had lived in Mason City 21 years, making her home at 403 Jefferson S. W.

Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 12, 1902, in Missouri, daughter of Jeff and Emma Thomas.

Surviving are a son, Earl Davis, Mason City, and a sister, Della Brown, Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday at the Patterson-James Chapel. The Rev. O. E. Blanks, pastor of the Union Memorial Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
