Mrs. Shelton Services Held

Rites Conducted at Mason City Chapel

Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Shelton, 71, former resident of Thornton who died Thursday at St. Louis, Mo., were held Saturday afternoon at the Colonial chapel, with the Rev. Roger Russell, associate pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating.

Mrs. Carl Carlson played obsequial music on the organ.

Attending the services from out of the city were Mrs. Florene Jude, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell C. Karl, Mrs. Robert Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller an ddaughter, Carol, and Merl Karl, all of St. Louis, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Karl, Chicago; and Mrs. Mary Donahue, Wilmet, Ill.

Margaret Hogan and Mrs. Velma McKee were in charge of flowers.

Pallbearers were Peter McCarron, Charles Kelsh, Tom McCarron and Charles Hogan. Burial was at the Thornton cemetery. The Colonial funeral home was in charge.
